The people behind GridLynQ

A company is the people who build it

Before there was a grid, a battery or a marina, there were two friends in the 4th grade.

Chapter 1 · 4th grade

Two kids at Holy Rosary

Kyle Ritchie and Brendan O'Shea met in the 4th grade at Holy Rosary. They grew up side by side — classmates, teammates and, just as often, rivals.

The same school gave them the same foundation: Christian values about how you treat people, and a belief that what you do should make a difference.

Chapter 2 · 8th grade

The kickball home-run race

By 8th grade the two were battling for the lead in the kickball home-run race. Neither gave an inch — and neither ever stopped cheering the other on.

That is still how they work: competitive and cooperative at the same time. Push each other hard, and win together.

Chapter 3 · Different roads

Growing up, growing apart

Life took them down different paths, with different experiences and different influences. Kyle became a civil engineer, ran home services and built homes as a contractor before turning to the waterfront.

Brendan built his own career in law and public policy — the arena where big infrastructure gets decided.

Chapter 4 · 25 years later

As if no time had passed

After 25 years they reconnected — and bonded again so quickly it was as if the years had never gone by.

Same values, same drive, now with a lifetime of experience between them. Together they've set out on a shared path: to collaborate and bring real benefit to the people and places they serve.

Chapter 5 · The team grows

Brendan's story

Brendan brings command of law and policy to the team — the knowledge of how public decisions get made, and how to make the case for infrastructure that serves everyone.
