Our story

Four paragraphs you are welcome to quote or paraphrase. The long version, with the investor pitch written out and quotes from Kyle Ritchie, is on the media page.

Where it started

Docks and RV pedestals were wired for a different era. As electric boats and vehicles arrive, the power at the end of the pier runs out long before demand does — and the utility upgrade that would fix it is slow and expensive for a property owner to carry alone.

What GridLynQ does

GridLynQ builds V2G-enabled storage and bidirectional charging on marina, boat yard, campground and RV park property. Capacity arrives as a prefabricated battery block, standard prefabricated blocks, added one at a time as demand grows, so a site grows with its own demand.

Who pays for it

The host contributes the site under a long-term host site agreement. GridLynQ funds and owns the hardware and carries the performance and replacement obligation, so the property owner puts in no capital.

Why it matters

Instead of one property waiting years for a single upgrade, a cluster of ready sites can be presented to the utility together — storage that shaves the property's own peaks today and supports the grid at the times it is most strained.

Our mission

To put real electrical capacity at the water’s edge and at the campsite — funded and owned by us, never by the property — so that boats and vehicles can plug in where they already are, and the grid gains storage where it is most strained.

  • The property owner never funds the equipment, and never carries the risk of a battery that underperforms.
  • Capacity is added to a site in standard blocks as its own demand grows, rather than in one oversized upgrade.
  • Sites are aggregated so a utility sees a portfolio of ready projects instead of one property at a time.
  • Nothing is claimed as proven until it has run. Modelled figures are labelled as modelled.

The 5 MW hub and spoke

How a GridLynQ cluster is actually built, in the terms we use ourselves.

The block

A 5 MW prefabricated battery block, factory-built as a container set and delivered to a prepared pad. It is the same unit everywhere, so a new site is a purchase order rather than a fresh engineering exercise.

The hub

The first site in a cluster takes at least one block and becomes the hub. It carries the interconnection, the control equipment and the operating relationship with the utility for everything around it.

The spokes

Nearby marinas, boat yards and RV parks attach to that hub as spokes. They get bidirectional dock or pedestal power without each one negotiating its own upgrade from scratch.

Why blocks

Repeating one unit means cost falls as the count rises, replacement is a swap rather than a rebuild, and a cluster can grow year by year without re-permitting the whole design.

What is in the deck

The same ten slides we walk investors through.

  1. 01Docks are plugging into a grid that is running out of roomMarinas and RV parks are being asked to deliver far more power at the pedestal than their service was ever built for. The utility answer is a multi-year upgrade the host cannot fund.
  2. 02We lease the site, we own the plant, the host puts in nothingA 20-year host lease with three 20-year renewals. GridLynQ funds, builds, owns, operates and guarantees the battery plant. The host contributes land and a connection, never capital.
  3. 03Hub and spoke, in 5 MW prefabricated blocksEach block is a factory-built container set. A lighthouse site takes at least one block; spokes attach to the hub as the cluster grows. Scaling is a purchase order, not a redesign.
  4. 04Site control first, then the utilityWe secure host leases, self-perform the bidirectional dock upgrades, and then take the utility an aggregated block of shovel-ready sites rather than one marina at a time.
  5. 05Five pilot environments, each proving a different thingControlled growth through five pilots before any scaled rollout: a working marina, a municipal harbour, a boatyard, an RV resort and a mixed commercial waterfront.
  6. 06The government channelFederal and municipal waterfront operators have the same resilience and demand-charge problem, with budget lines that already exist for it. The near-term contractable product is a paid energy-resilience and demand assessment.
  7. 07The EcoJiva licenceAn indicative two-part licence under discussion: perpetual worldwide exclusivity in maritime and RV, plus a time-boxed government window opening at first award.
  8. 08Provisional patent filing in preparationThe GridLynQ method is the subject of a provisional filing. Conversion and examination are ahead of us, and we say so plainly.
  9. 09Two tranches, secured by steel at the gateCapital goes in against signed site control, not against a hope. Tranche two only draws once the lease is recorded, the interconnection position is established and the lien is in place.
  10. 10Start the conversationSend a note through this room and it comes straight to the CEO. The first meeting is a walkthrough of the model, the site pipeline and the pilot gate conditions.

What is true today

So nothing in your piece overstates where we are.

  • No block is energized yet. Every performance figure we publish is modelled, not measured.
  • No pilot site is named publicly. Sites are named when the host agreement is signed and the host agrees.
  • The patent is provisional and pending. It has not been examined or granted.
  • The EcoJiva technology relationship is at term-sheet stage, not executed.
  • The government channel is at registration stage. There is no federal award.
